Master Carlos Alberto Liberi, started practicing JIU-JITSU in 1980 and obtained his black belt in 1990, today he is a red and black coral belt, 7th degree. A longtime Jiu Jitsu practitioner, he has been involved in all areas of the sport.
Among his activities in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, he was a Self-Defense Instructor for the Army’s Special Operations Platoon (28 BIB) when he was an active-duty officer. He taught several courses in Personal Defense for the Civil and Military Police of the State of São Paulo, worked at the Women’s Police Station in Campinas, teaching courses in Personal Defense against rape. Here in the United States of America, he teaches self-defense voluntarily in the Orlando National Guard whenever he is invited.

BEGINNING OF TRAJECTORY IN

GRACIE BARRA BRASILIAN JIU-JITSU

 1994, he began training with the GRACIE BARRA team and soon became an invitational competitor for master Carlos Gracie Jr. , which led him to make the transition to helping athletes achieve success in competition. He was Brazilian IbJJF champion, tri-panamerican IBJJF champion His vast experience gave him the platform to become one of the best Gracie Barra instructors and with that many positive results were achieved by the athletes that led them to victory in the world famous IBJJF competitions.

In addition, he was coach of the Campinas-SP team in the 2003 State Regional Games, where the team was crowned champion among the 19 cities that competed in that championship.

 

He is currently GRACIE BARRA Regional Director for the State of São Paulo, Responsible for GRACIE BARRA WEAR BRASIL, member of the Board of Directors of Gracie Barra Florida and Chief Instructor of GB Sanford and GB Campinas. These vacancies were won through a selective process reserved for those who have already reached the top of their careers and have extraordinary experience.
